In February 2012 we took a family cruise to Curaçao and Aruba. Skies were gloomy as we left Fort Lauderdale.

There were 7 other cruise ships leaving port on the same day. Port Everglades, located in Greater Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood, Florida, is ranked second among cruise ports worldwide and has more homeported cruise ships than any other port.
Our cabin was perfect. The family had 4 cabins in a row and one of the cabin crew opened the doors separating each balcony so we had one giant family-sized balcony to hang out on. If you can, always get the balcony, it makes the tiny ship cabin seem so much bigger.
