A destination wedding

Cabo San Lucas, or simply Cabo, as it is commonly called, has been rated as one of Mexico’s top 5 tourist destinations. While attending the wedding of our nephew we had a chance to explore the city for a couple of days.

An Art Museum, Tequila Tasting and Antiques all in one space. It was very fun to explore.

The sea arch, El Arco de Cabo San Lucas, is a distinctive rock formation at the southern tip of Cabo. It is three stories tall! This is where the Pacific Ocean becomes the Gulf of California. There are many tour boats which will get you out closer to El Arco. We spent a day touring along the coast.

Joel, in the middle of the water, along with many others who decided to take a dip in this cove.

Joel snorkeling off the boat.

“In the winter, pods of whales can be observed in the area. They bear their calves in the warm waters of the Gulf of California after completing their 6000-mile migration from Alaska and Siberia.” – Wikipedia

There are many beautiful resorts right along the coast. The weather can be quite hot in the summer with temps in the mid-90’sF/33-35C. However, the winter months are very mild. November-April usually have highs between 78-85F/25-29C.

No matter where we go in Mexico, the people have always been incredibly friendly and helpful.

And, now for some wedding pictures…congratulations to our nephew Tom and his bride Mandy! We wish you years and years of happiness.

Who does what here? Honestly, it’s really a good collaboration. We both decide where to go and plan the trip together. Once at our destination, Jeri takes most of the pictures and edits them for our website, though Joel has a much longer arm and is better at taking our selfies. Once the pictures are done then Jeri writes the posts and Joel edits them before they go live. Joel is also the IT guy when things go wrong (but what could possible go wrong when a computer is involved?)
