Legoland California

In the summer of 2012 a friend rented a house in San Clemente, CA. We were invited to come visit and hang out with them for a weekend. The views from this house were spectacular.

During our stay we made the short drive (about 30 minutes) down to Legoland in northern San Diego County.

Throughout the park there are all these wonderful lego sculptures.
Joel and I made our own race cars out of legos.

After we built the cars we had to test them, of course. Sometimes you just have to let your inner child come out.

While the park is geared towards younger children, there are some things to do for the older kids (like us) too.

Who does what here? Honestly, it’s really a good collaboration. We both decide where to go and plan the trip together. Once at our destination, Jeri takes most of the pictures and edits them for our website, though Joel has a much longer arm and is better at taking our selfies. Once the pictures are done then Jeri writes the posts and Joel edits them before they go live. Joel is also the IT guy when things go wrong (but what could possible go wrong when a computer is involved?)
