Million Dollar Highway, Colorado

Telluride, Colorado is a great mountain resort town to see. Many great restaurants, bars and art galleries to visit as you walk through downtown. The town is extremely walkable with everything very close together.

Low hanging clouds and a light rain made our stay in Telluride very cool.

We headed east down the mountain towards Ouray, Colorado. This is a cute mining town with many buildings built in the 1880’s. A stop at the museum near this library is well worth the time.

Leaving Ouray, we started down the million dollar highway towards Durango, Colorado. The scenery was beautiful but there are no guardrails so this is not a road for those who fear heights.

Part of what makes this part of the country so beautiful is the landscape. This was a waterfall we saw along the side of the road.

We stopped for some coffee in Silverton, Colorado, another cute historic mining town. This picture doesn’t do it justice. For better pictures of this old town, check out this link from trip advisor.

Who does what here? Honestly, it’s really a good collaboration. We both decide where to go and plan the trip together. Once at our destination, Jeri takes most of the pictures and edits them for our website, though Joel has a much longer arm and is better at taking our selfies. Once the pictures are done then Jeri writes the posts and Joel edits them before they go live. Joel is also the IT guy when things go wrong (but what could possible go wrong when a computer is involved?)
